The solution is rather simple remove the “&gl=US” from the address of the page in chrome

So:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.facebook.lite&hl=en_IE&gl=US

Becomes;
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.facebook.lite&hl=en_IE
